🔴⚪ Olympiacos Melbourne announces the historic signing of 1st Free Euro Trial Trip Recipient

Olympiacos Melbourne is proud and delighted to announce the transfer of footballer our 1st Free Euro Trial Trip recipient, marking a historic milestone not only for our club, but for our football philanthropy program.

This is the first player in Olympiacos Melbourne’s football philanthropy that received a free Euro trial trip and has now gone on to start his Euro pro career. This achievement represents the true purpose of our mission — to create genuine football pathways for talented players, regardless of financial circumstances.

His journey began at our Helping Kids Football Centre, where he participated in our free extra team training and free extra skill development sessions. Through dedication, consistency, and passion for the game, Simon continued to progress and was regularly assessed at our free Euro scout camps, where his talent, work ethic, and attacking qualities stood out. Following these assessment of our levels, Simon was officially identified and selected for our first-ever Euro Free Trial trip, a moment that defines what Olympiacos Melbourne stands for.

This milestone reflects our philanthropy’s commitment to supporting Category 3 families — families with children who are often excluded from football simply because they cannot afford registration fees or associated costs. Olympiacos Melbourne exists to ensure that these families get the opportunity for their children. Simon’s success is living proof of what can be achieved when opportunity meets determination.

A dynamic and versatile attacking player, this player possesses speed, quality, and the ability to perform across all forward positions. His fighting spirit, resilience, and strong performances embody the Olympiacos Melbourne mentality — passion, discipline, and relentless effort. These qualities will not only strengthen our team but help drive our objectives both on and off the pitch.

From helping kids get out of rooms and off streets, through to professional European opportunities, Olympiacos Melbourne’s football philanthropies are designed to build pathways, inspire belief, and ensure all families are not priced out playing sports, whether is for fun or seriou. Simon’s journey now stands as inspiration for every young footballer in our community.
